Some Assembly Required

I had to put together one of the presents that we bought for my son. It was a K’NEX roller coaster. It had over 1100 pieces. It took me about 5 hours. I’m ready to do another one.

Praise God for His Mercy

We spent the night in the hospital last night. Our baby boy Timothy was having breathing trouble and my wife, having already been through RSV with our daughter, was not willing to take any chances. She took him to the hospital when he started having retractions and they took some x-rays and tested him for RSV. He was negative. They transported him to Cook’s Children’s Hospital and kept him overnight for observation. Once again, the staff at Cooks were excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about that hospital. Caring for infants and small children is something that many hospitals are not well equipped for, so I thank God for Cook’s. Timothy is home now and doing fine, and momma is getting some needed rest. I will have to wait until I get off work to get some sleep.

My wife has been scheduled for induced labor this Sunday morning. They say that the baby is going to be a biggun. Pray for my wife and for the baby to be delivered safely.

The Drugging Of Our Children

This is yet another documentary chronicling the devastation being wrought in the lives of countless children who are needlessly medicated in order to line the deep pockets of pharmaceutical companies. It is hardly shocking to anyone who has been paying attention, but if you never knew what was going on before, you should watch this video. One of the best reasons to homeschool your children is to keep something like this from happening to them. Public schools have become the best source of new customers for these drug pushers.

No Baby Yet…

My wife started having contractions yesterday, so we got to spend a few hours in the maternal observation unit of the hospital. She ended up being released after they gave her something to try and stop the contractions. She started having some more today, so I told her to call me when her water broke. She’s not due until October 13, but I know it could be any time now. Pretty excited about having another baby in the house! Pray for us.

Trials

My car broke down last night, while my son and I were driving. I had to get my father-in-law to come rescue me off the side of the highway. My wife’s car is not running very well at all, in fact I couldn’t get it to start this morning so I guess technically they are both broke down… So I couldn’t go to work today. I praise God for the peace that is only possible through His Spirit! I am sure that He is going to work this out. Sonya is getting ready to have her baby soon. If anyone is reading this, please pray for the baby to turn over, and for my automotive situation.

UPDATE: The baby turned over! Praise the Lord!
